I chose Freedom of Speech. You can speak freely against the government, have symbolic speech, and actions. There are limitations for the freedom of speech, you can't endanger the public "Fire!". These freedoms are important because people have the right to speak for what they think. Symbolic symbols can mean a lot of things. For example, if a student brings a peace sign somewhere, that can mean to stop fighting or stop the war. People sometimes can't speak so they can use symbolic symbols. This guard against tyranny because one person can't take over and stop people from speaking or using symbolic symbols.

The amendment I picked was the first amendment. The freedoms guaranteed in this amendment is freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, and freedom of petition. The limits these freedoms have are You can't lie about someone for freedom of speech. You can't print falsehoods about someone in a newspaper for freedom of press.religious rituals can't violate local laws (which means no human sacrifice) for freedom of religious.also for freedom of assembly the limit for it is that the assembly has to be peaceful.the first amendment very important to America.if it wasn't for this amendment America wouldn't be it's self. I think that the first amendment is the most important amendment because people still use it in life still right now for problem they have to deal with. The first amendment protects us against tyranny if we use the rights we have we can go against the government.

I agree with Dorian the 1st amendment freedom guaranteed. The 1st amendment talks about the freedom of speech which is you can say whatever you want to, freedom of religion say that you don't have to be in a religion if you don't want to,freedom of press you can say what u want on magazines but there are limits for example you cant put out anything that can help the U.S enemies. These freedoms are important because without them we probably wont get to say what wee want or if we don't want to follow a religion without these freedoms you probably would have to follow one.

I chose to write about the Fourth Amendment in the Bill of Rights. This amendment gives us the right to say no against police searching your house, you or your private property. And if the police must search your house, they have to have a warrant which is an order from a judge. This amendment also protect you from police taking custody of you or your property. The limits to these freedoms is that as stated before is even if you say no to having police in your house, if they come back with a warrant from a judge, they can search you, your house and property. All these freedoms are important because if not remembered, police can violate you or your privacy (invasion of privacy). It is also important to remember these freedoms because if police ever randomly come knocking at your door and want to come in to search without a warrant, you can refuse. It also allows the search to be done according to the law (the police don't search illegally). It is important also to know your rights so you know if the judge issued a unnecessary warrant. This guards against tyranny because it prevents police and the judicial system from having too much power over citizens.

The ninth amendment is most important. It protects my rights that aren't in the Bill of Rights. I can have privacy and own stuff. So the government can't look at my Instagram or Twitter, and emails. For the fact of another amendment involving due process.

The amendment I consider to talk about is The fourth amendment: Searches and Seizures. The fourth amendment protects against the police forces searching your things, for example your car, house, private property, unless they have absolute evidence to do so. The amendment also protects against a seizure (which in these terms a seizure is defined as "the act of taking possession, as by force or right of law"). This law also protects you by giving you a warrant. A warrant is the order/permission of a judge. It's important because it wouldn't be "ok" with a cop just walking around your house doing a search and seizure without a warrant. If it came to that conclusion what would we have? This is able to guard against tyranny because it prevents the police forces from having to much power than other workers.

The amendment that I chose was the 4th amendment because this is so many things that are so close to the freedom things we have. Well, the freedom that is guaranteed to this amendment is that it protects people from illegal searches anywhere and where ever. Also that there can’t be illegal seizures for nothing. The limits for this freedom is that they would only be able to search what you have only if there is a probable reason like if your suspicious in anyway. These freedoms are important because like it’s said if you don’t have a warrant or ordered by a judge then you can’t come to someone and check there property or anything. This amendment guards against tyranny because it may be harmful or nothing at all. It only counts on you if you make it look bad or if you make it look like nothing is happening.

The amendment I picked was freedom of press which is amendment number one and you have the right to give free speech for the press, This means media , magazines, and newspaper. The limits they have is they can not lie. If they do lie the reporter or whoever ask the questions can be sued. Also the reporters or people who wrote the article cannot share secrets. They cant also share secrets that can be helpful to an enemy. This guards against tyranny because if someone doesn't like you they can share all the secrets or lies about you and they would have more power over you because they made up things that don't have to do with you.

I picked the 4th amendment because the bill of rights contains the Miranda warning and is says you have a right to remain silent any thing you say will be used in the court of law you have a right to an attorney if you cant afford one one will be appointed to you. So if a cop tells you your rights that's your freedom that you have you are appose to have an attorney appointed to you because just like another amendment it says in the 4th one that a police officer cant check you without a warrant so those too amendments gives you your freedoms.

I chose the 5th amendment double jeopardy. In this freedom you are to not being tried for a crime more than one time. The limit in this freedom is you have found not guilty so you won’t get tried again. This freedom is important because if you weren’t found guilty you can get tried for the same crime over and over again. This guards against tyranny because if you were tried with a crime and you were innocent but the judge was corrupt mostly likely you would be tried for the same crime and you didn’t commit the crime in the first place. They could charge you again and didn’t do the crime this is how this guards against tyranny.

This guards against tyranny because it stops the police from having too much power.

The amendment I’m choosing to right is the first amendment. This amendment ensures the following rights; Freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of press, right to assemble, and the right to petition. However, there are limits to these freedoms and rights. The limitations for “freedom of speech” are that you can’t do anything harmful regarding your religion, and you cannot deny medical treatment for a child. The limitation for “freedom of speech” is that you can’t say anything that could endanger the public. For example, you cannot yell, “fire!” in a theater unless there is an actual fire. The limitations for “freedom of press” are that you cannot lie, and you cannot publish national secrets that would be helpful to an enemy. The limitations for “right to assemble” are that it must be peaceful, and you can’t close streets or buildings. The first amendment is very important to everyone. This amendment is important because you know what you can do without crossing the line. For example, if I want to wear a bracelet to school that says something on it, I would be able to because it is symbolic speech which falls under the second right in the first amendment. This amendment helps guard against tyranny because it makes sure people don’t abuse their powers. For example it helps makes sure that you are allowed to wear a bracelet that says something on it although it is not part of the school uniform.

The amendment I choose as the most important in the bill of rights is the first amendment. The first amendment contains the rights in which many people are aware of. For example freedom of speech or action. Have ever heard someone say " This is a free country?". Well, the first amendment protects five rights of the people which are the freedom of religion, freedom of press, freedom of speech, the right to petition and right to assemble. Although limits do come with having these rights. For example you can only have the freedom to petition, assemble or speech unless it endangers the public in some way, shape or form. Also, in freedom of religion, a person cannot deny a child of medical care due to their beliefs. These rights are important because it gives citizens the knowledge and advantage of being able to give their opinion on how they think the government should be run, what changes benefit them or needs to be made or following their choice of religion. These rights protect against the use of tyranny because it allows the people to have a voice in the government so neither the central or state government could make decisions which affects the people negatively. It also makes sure that everyone has some type of power, even common people, so that the government cannot ompletely take over.

The Amendment I choose is the tenth. The tenth sates that there are more rights but they aren't stated in the bill of rights. So I have more rights than are just listed in the Bill Of Rights. These freedoms are very important because if not we would basically have no rights because the tenth says that there are more than that are on the Bill Of Rights so if it didn't we would have many limitations! This guards against tyranny because if the tenth amendment didn't exists the government would have to much power over the people. This is why I chose the tenth amendment.

I have decided to write about the 6th amendment within the Bill of Rights. This amendment gives you the right of having a speedy trial, public trial, and an impartial jury. You are given a speedy trial in order to keep the witness's memories fresh and to not be held in jail for a long amount of time. You are given a public trial to make sure the public can be aware of your trial and you are given an impartial jury so there is no prejudice held against you. When convicted by the police the sixth amendment states that you have the right to be told the crime you are accused of committing and the setting of that crime. You also have the freedom to hear and question a testifying witness and the right to an attorney no matter what crime you're accused of. These rights are significant because when you are told the crime and setting of the crime that you are accused of you could see if you have an alibi that would help you not be convicted of that crime. Also if you have an impartial jury, no prejudice will be held against you, therefore the outcome of your trial won't be based on your race or what you believe in. These freedoms guard against tyranny because it doesn't give your jury all the power to control how you are being trialed and within the sixth amendment it states the ensured rights you have when arrested.

If I had to choose from one of the ten amendments, I would choose the 1st Amendment. In the 1st amendment, we have 5 very important rights (that we see a lot today) which are: freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of press, right to assemble, and the right to petition. Thanks to freedom of religion, we as individuals, have the right to choose which religion we want to follow as well as, the right to decide whether we want to follow a religion at all. BUT we have limits as well as rights. One of the limits is that we can't do anything that will harm someone or something. Next, is freedom of speech. Because of freedom of speech, we are allowed to speak our minds whether it is through verbally, by actions or by symbolic speech. Yet again we have limits. 'We cannot endanger the public'. For example, we can't scream "fire!" in a crowded theater. Third, is freedom of press. Freedom of press means that the press have free speech: media, magazines, and newspaper. The limit is that they can't lie(can be sued for lying) or publish national secrets that would be helpful to an enemy. Fourth, is the right to assemble. The right to assemble allows you to meet together in public places with others. The limit requires peacefulness and no closing streets or buildings. Last but not least, is the right to petition. The right to petition gives us the right to ask the government to change something. We can do this by writing a paper that states what you want and get people to sign it. These freedoms are extremely important because, I'll put myself as an example, If it wasn't for freedom of religion I wouldn't be able to be Christian. If it wasn't for freedom of speech, I wouldn't be able to speak my mind whether it is on the internet or verbally. If it wasn't for freedom of press, we wouldn't be able to read magazines or be able to go on any site on the internet. If it wasn't for the right to assemble, we wouldn't be able to hang out at the lake in the summer with our families or anywhere in that matter. And if it wasn't for the right to petition, we wouldn't be allowed to tell the government what we wanted or what we want changed. The 1st amendment guards against tyranny by protecting our rights as individuals so that the government does not abuse of their power. Therefore, the government doesn't have to much power which allows us to have the power that they don't have. I'd dare to say that the 1st amendment is the main attraction of America and our free and democratic society.

the amendment I would choose the 4th because it protects my rights to get searched or not. The only way the cops can check me without my promise is if they have a warrant or if they have solid evidence that illegal they can check me. the most important part in this is that they could be checking terrorists, traders, and drug dealers.

I think that 8th amendment is a very important one because bail and punishments help keep our country in order. It matters the type of crime you do so the judged can give you the right punishment according to the crime. A person shouldn't get lifetime in jail if you stole a purse but you get punish for your crime and if you continue to steal then you will go to jail and a harder punishment for a long time. A punishments can be serious and you should not be punish by people the amendment will determine the crime and if you can get bail. The next law is bail and law states that money or the victim property can be held by the court as bail if they can't pay they stay in jail until they get there bail money. The other important thing about bail is the judge can't put a high bail on a small minor crime for someone breaking a window your bail should be set according to what type of crime is committed. This amendment help to keep justice fair so people will be treated according to the crime and the punishment and bail is not about where we live or how we look just on the crime. This is why I think this is most important bill of rights law.

The amendment I chose is the 6th amendment. It protects Criminal Trial Rights.Criminal trial rights require defendants to have a speedy trial while their memories are fresh. The defendants can not be held in jail for long periods of time.Their trials must be public and not in secrecy. Their trials can't be impartial. Impartial juries are unfair trials that consist of a jury that have prejudice views against the defendant. When arrested defendants must be told the crime, time, and place. They have a right to an attorney and to hear an question witnesses. This protects from tyranny because defendants who aren't guilty can be protected from being held in jail or framed for a crime they didn't commit.

I picked the 9th amendment. This amendment makes it so you have more rights then what are actually documented and as of what you know. I feel that there is no limit to the 9th amendment do the fact that they did not specify what those extra rights were. These freedoms that the 9th amendment provides are important because it allows for people to do such things that would normally be thought of as illegal. Thus giving them the ability to live there live normally without the risk of incarceration. This amendment wouldn't really guard against tyranny until the rights within the 9th amendment are specified.

I agree with Luis that amendment I is the most important. The first amendment allows you to have: The Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Press, The Right to Assemble, and The Right to Petition. even though these rights are documented, there are in fact limitations. The limitation for Freedom of Speech is that you cannot endanger the public. For example you can't yell fire in a public place such as a library when there really isn't a fire. The limitations for Freedom of Religion is that you can't do anything that is harmful and you cannot deny a child of medical care. Freedom of Press also has limitations that include not lying about something and you can't post something that would give the enemies intel of our national secrets. Limitations for the Right to Assemble are that it must be peaceful, and you can’t close streets or buildings. Freedom of Speech is important because it allows me to speak freely against the Government by using symbols, speech, and actions. Freedom of Religion is important because it allows me to be any religion I wants such as a Catholic Christian, and not being punished because there is no national religion that I must follow. The Freedom of Press lets me have free speech for the press which is the media, newspapers, and magazines. Another right that is important to me is the Right to Assemble. this rights lets meet together in public places with others such as a study group at the library. Right to petition is very important because you can ask the Government to change something that you don't agree with, by writing a paper that states what you would like to change and have people sign it. The first amendment also helps guard against tyranny by giving us freedoms and rights that we will get punished for if we don't use them correctly. For example if I scream fire in a theatre and there isn't a real fire I can be arrested.
